MBE, otherwise known as Minority Business Enterprise, is a designation for businesses which are at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled on a daily basis by one or more (in combination) American citizens of an ethnic minority and/or gender (e.g. woman-owned) and/or military veteran classifications. In 2023, after a meticulous process including an intensive review of overall business operations and an in-depth interview, Acosta Sheet Metal Manufacturing, Inc was granted MBE certification by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
